This was in the 80's - the sauna was tucked away in the back of a loccer room; as barren and isolated as it could get. And it was absolute heaven!

Compare it to going out to dinner... we (well me) will ask about the beer on tap and less about the menu. As with saunas, though I will not turn down a trip to Cancun if there is no sauna on the resort.
